1. “Classic Gaming”. Ein Sonderheft von Computec – mit einem Titelbild, das nur Kenner nicht mit ungläubigem Kopfschütteln betrachten werden. Zu den Highlights gehören viele Seiten zu “Giana Sisters” inklusive Interviews mit Erfinder Armin Gessert (der mit dem A-R-M-I-N-Cheat) und Chris Hülsbeck, ca. 20 Katalog-artige seiten mit den besten Spielen und Infos zu Systemen wie Amiga, C64, NES, GameBoy, Mega Drive und Atari VCS, eine kleine Einführung zum Thema Emulatoren und – man höre und staune – ein Interview mit Manfred Kleimann. Und wer mit dem Namen noch etwas anfangen kann, wird spätestens jetzt zum Kiosk rennen.

2. “sounds”, Ausgabe 1/2009. Thema: 50 Jahre Musikfernsehen. Angesichts der Entwicklungen der vergangenen Jahre ist dieses großartige Magazin eine Art Nachruf für das Musikfernsehen. Vom Beat-Club bis YouTube ist hier alles Wichtige vertreten. U.a. gibt’s ein Interview mit Ray Cokes, die große Beat-Club-Story, die Geschichte des “Rockpalasts”, Erinnerungen an “Formel Eins”, die mittlerweile traurige Entwicklung von MTV von den Anfängen bis jetzt und “33 Pop-Momente” mit Links zu YouTube.

Zu haben sind beide Hefte mindestens am Bahnhofs-Kiosk.

Sehr schöne Idee von “stereogum“: In Anlehnung an die Filmchen mit den Verstoebenen des Jahres, die beiden Oscar-Verleihungen immer gezeigt werden, ahben sie ein paar Bilder zu Trändendrüsen-Musik zusammengestellt – mit den Bands, die sich 2008 aufgelöst haben.
