Und dann noch Placebo. Am 18. Oktober erscheint das Greatest-Hits-Album mit dem grenzwertigen Titel “once more with feeling: singles, 1996 – 2004”. Enthalten sind auch zwei neue Songs: “i do” und “20 years”. Auf placeboworld.co.uk heißt es dazu:

Both these songs show a further maturity and growth in the bands’ song writing abilities. I Do is Placebo’s first happy, unashamed love song. “I’ve been threatening to do it for years and we’ve finally done it”, says Brian. The second, Twenty Years, is more in keeping with the bands’ existential angst. According to Brian, it’s “pure epic melancholy, a rumination on the passing of time and mortality. but it’s not miserable”?

Und wer am 5. November zufällig in London ist, sollte in der Wembley Arena vorbeischauen. Da gibt’s nämlich Placebos letztes Konzert vor 2006.
