– Das lang, viel zu lang, herbeiersehnte Nirvana-Boxset mit ganz vielen unveröffentlichten Raritäten soll nun endlich am 22. November erscheinen. Der Arbeitstitel ist “with the lights out”. Enthalten sind drei Audio-CDs mit über 40 Tracks und eine DVD u.a. mit einer frühen Live-Show. Welche Songs und Versionen enthalten sind – und ob diese für Nirvana-Sammler, die z.B. die “outcesticide”-CDs besitzen wirklich noch neu und veröffentlicht sind – ist noch geheim.

– Billy Corgan, ehemaliger Smashing Pumpkin, schreibt auf seiner Website folgende erfreulichen Sätze: “I am happy to report that my album is finished and we are now in the mixing stage for the next three weeks. As of right now we are set to release in the spring?spring seems a long way away sitting her right now, but time flies when you are me so it shouldn?t be that long. I am very excited about the album as I feel I have created something relatively fresh and vibrant and exciting to my ears. I know that I like it and that makes me smile.”

– Robert Smith wird am 21. Oktober die Sendung von John Peel bei Radio One moderieren, weil der im Urlaub ist. Er spricht auch über frührere Cure-Peel-Sessions und spielt Tracks daraus. Den neuen träumerischen The-Cure-Clip zum großartigen “taking off” kann man sich übrigens hier anschauen.
